I wanna dedicated this little space for one true real artist and person a true fighter: Keith Haring Today, May 4th, would’ve been his 58th birthday.
So let’s review some of his art, personal viewing and high lights.
He was an American artist and social activist whose work responded to the New York City street culture of the 1980s by expressing concepts of birth, death, sexuality, and war. Haring’s work was often heavily political and his imagery has become a widely recognized visual language of the 20th century.
By 1982, Haring had established friendships with fellow emerging artists Futura 2000, Kenny Scharf, Madonna and Jean-Michel Basquiat. He created more than 50 public works between 1982 and 1989 in dozens of cities around the world. Its my favorite time when he designed some combos, a cool Jacket she performed “Dress You Up” in a Keith Haring outfit at Haring’s birthday party at Paradise Garage in New York on May 16, 1984.
Haring also created public murals in the lobby and ambulatory care department of Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center on Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn.
A rare video of Haring at work shows his energetic style. Haring wrote: “I am becoming much more aware of movement. The importance of movement is intensified when a painting becomes a performance. The performance (the act of painting) becomes as important as the resulting painting.”
Haring was openly gay and was a strong advocate of safe sex; however, in 1988, he was diagnosed with AIDS. In 1989, he established the Keith Haring Foundation to provide funding and imagery to AIDS organizations and children’s programs, and to expand the audience for his work through exhibitions, publications and the licensing of his images. Haring used his imagery during the last years of his life to speak about his illness and to generate activism and awareness about AIDS. In 1989, he was invited by the Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center to join a show of site-specific artwork for the building at 208 West 13th Street.
I can’t enlist and mention all his brilliance work in here, but one thing I let you know. Will be following for decades. I know his name is reaching out in the American Pop Culture. But you know what, his legacy is still on demain around the world. Check out this essentials, never passing away.

If you are worried about the fact that your skin has started to sag or wrinkle, you probably want to find ways to fix that as quickly as possible. That’s why it’s good that you have many skin tightening options available. The trick is to choose the right one for your particular skin type.
The Primary Skin Tightening Therapy Choices
One of the primary skin tightening choices you have is sound wave treatment. Sound wave treatments vary a bit, but two of the most common are ultrasound and radio frequency treatments. Though both use different sound waves, they do the same thing. They essentially stir up your skin cells and get them working hard to repair themselves again like they did when you were younger. The right treatment can cause elastin, collagen, and other substances to be produced more by your body, naturally repairing the cells.
The other primary option is that you can use a medical laser to tighten up your skin. However, it has to be the right type of laser device. Some of them are more useful for zapping away specific skin blemishes or very shallow wrinkles. If you have deeper wrinkles or more severe skin sags, you will want to choose a laser machine that can treat all of your skin’s layers and heal it from the inside out, much like sound wave treatments can.
Stronger Treatments May be Necessary with Age
Laser treatments are generally stronger than sound wave treatments, and age may require that you have stronger treatments. That’s because our bodies stop making as many natural hormones and cellular defenses as we get older, which is why older people often have more wrinkles to fight back against than younger people. So, your age should definitely play a role in your final decision about which treatment option to pick.
Most Wrinkle Treatments Are Fairly Painless
Regardless of the treatment type you use, most of them are fairly painless. Your technician will numb the area you are having treated first, if the treatment requires it. Most laser and sound wave treatments also don’t require any time to recover after the procedure. You can just walk right out of the clinic and resume your daily life in most cases. Although, there are a few minor exceptions.
That said, complications can arise from time to time. For example, some lasers can cause skin to blister, especially if that skin has a lot of oil, which the lasers can super heat inadvertently. So, if you have oily skin, you might want to rethink the possibility of laser treatment and discuss it with your dermatologist before making an appointment.
Skin Tightening is an Ongoing Process
One final thing to remember is that skin tightening is an ongoing process. If you want to keep your skin looking young and healthy, you will need to keep having skin tightening procedures as you get older. Exactly how often you will need them will depend on your individual case, but you definitely can’t expect one or two skin tightening procedures to fix the problem for life. The wrinkles and sags will keep coming back with the passage of time.
